4 summer festivals you don't want to miss (and what to drink)

MOTH is taking its range of premium canned cocktails on a UK-wide tour of the best festivals

Festival season is upon us, and this year, we’re doing things differently. Gone are the days of drinking warm beer and watered down G&Ts in the middle of a field: we’re grown-ups, and we want grown-up drinks. Enter MOTH. The game-changing drinks brand is all about facilitating excellent experiences no matter the environment, with meticulously blended canned cocktails that taste as though they’ve just been mixed by your favourite bartender. Showcasing a range of delicious classic cocktail recipes and sleek design-led packaging, it’s safe to say these aren’t just any old tinnies.

So you can imagine our delight at the news that MOTH is on the move this summer, taking its range of cocktails on a tour of some of the UK’s best festivals – from Glastonbury to the Edinburgh Fringe – because the quality of your drink should match the quality of the event. To sweeten summer even further, MOTH has teamed up with premium bag designer Stubble & Co to create a limited-edition crossbody cooler bag. It can hold up to five MOTH cocktails and keep them cool for up to five hours – meaning less time queuing at the festival bar, and more time dancing to your favourite acts.

Ready for the best (and most delicious) summer ever? These are the festivals you don’t want to miss…

Mighty Hoopla

1st – 2nd June, Brockwell Park, London

Mighty Hoopla is the UK’s favourite pop festival, championing freedom and fun. This year sees pop legends Nelly Furtado and Jessie Ware take the stage as headliners, with other highlights including Rita Ora, Bananarama and Eve. Dance the afternoon away with a cocktail in hand – MOTH will be serving up its entire range of cocktails from its iconic disco ball bar to the sound of a live Glitterbox-inspired DJ set, while MOTH’s Margarita, Paloma, Piña Colada and Mojitos are available at all bars around the festival.

Taste of London

12th – 16th June, Regent’s Park, London

Celebrate all things food and drink at Taste of London, the ultimate feast of the summer. This year marks 20 years of Taste, so expect organisers to pull out all the stops, with over 120 dishes from London’s most exciting restaurants, as well as fire-fuelled theatrics and live entertainment. MOTH will be serving up all ten of its cocktails at its bar, with complimentary snacks courtesy of Belazu. Order your tipple of choice and dance to live DJ sets under MOTH’s disco ball canopy, or simply relax in the sun on one of the deck chairs. If you’re feeling game, you can even try your luck at winning a fridge full of MOTH cocktails.

Glastonbury Pop-Up Hotel

26th – 30th June, Glastonbury

If you managed to snag tickets to Glasto, lucky you. Not only do you get a spiritual experience that you’ll cherish for the rest of your life (plus unlimited bragging rights), but if you’ve booked accommodation at Glastonbury’s luxurious Pop-Up Hotel, you get to enjoy MOTH cocktails from the comfort of the pool, salon, and even your tent. When you’re not bopping to Dua Lipa, be sure to kick back with a cocktail at one of the hotel’s bars, by the pool, or even at the spa. You can also order takeaway MOTH canned cocktails to take with you into the festival, ensuring you’ll never go thirsty.

Underbelly at Edinburgh Fringe

2nd – 26th August, Edinburgh

The world’s largest performing arts festival returns to Edinburgh each August, and this year attendees should make their way to Underbelly, the festival’s best place to enjoy circus, theatre, comedy, cabaret, music and – cocktails, of course. MOTH is taking over the bandstand bar at Bristo Square, Underbelly’s busiest outdoor food and drinks space at the Fringe, so you can treat yourself to an ice-cold cocktail as you soak up the entertainment.

And of course if you're looking to host your own mini-festival in your back garden, you can stock the bar with MOTH's full range of cocktails by ordering direct from the website. Sip them straight from the can or pour them over ice and dress with a garnish. No faff. Just delicious, bar-strength cocktails, as ready as you are.
